I enjoy longer poses but I truly enjoy the warm up gesture drawings.
Detail is not important. It's a freeing exercise using a full arm swing
to capture the energy of the pose. A quick look at where the weight
is and the curve of the models pose is what it's about for me.
Take a look and tell me what you think.

I think that these are great, and that it's wonderful to see you back here, that's what I think.
I just love those lines and gestures.
your red and showy friend...:-)
I am delighted to see your sketches. The motion is very natural, expressive and a wonderful warm up exercise.
Hope your arm is healing well.
Speedy recovery (!) on the wings of prayer sent with this message :)

Oh yes. With hugs enclosed too!
Love to you and yours!
Thanks my Red and Showy Friend.
Glad you like the gestures. It is nice to have something to post. I guess that means I should do something else. It's been a very long time.
I appreciate you taking the time to visit.
Always enjoy your comments.

Silver, thanks for your lovely comments and well wishes and prayers. You are so kind for stopping by.
It's exciting for me to see you at my blog. Means a lot.
Stay strong my lovely friend, here's a big hug headed your way.
Love to you my friend.
ps. Both shoulders are doing fine, just need to work more on strength.
OMG! I just saw your post! Welcome back! I'll comment more tomorrow, but here's a theory for now---art as rare as hen's teeth ups the price. ;0)
Nice figures! Your gestures have weight and sass. I LOVE sass!
I've seen your comments on Loriann Signori's blog and enjoy your watercolor work! Glad to see the figures! Great work.
Looks good Doug. I guess you can swing your arm again? Wish I had a class to drop-in on. I haven't done those kind of drawings since college.
Delightful!!! I especially like the top two!!! Very fluid and graceful!!!
Glad to see you back in "the swing"!!!
Glad you're doing the drop-ins. They'll help you keep your chops up and are as good as PT. I know... much better.
Thanks Sam, I appreciate the encouragement. I do enjoy the drop in sessions. 5 bucks for 2 and a half hours. Umm rare as hens teeth ups the price ... I get it!
How about as rare as an honest politician ... will Nov 2 ever get here. I've long since lost interest.
Hows the dogs??????
Thanks Katherine and welcome to my blog.
Love your comment ... weight and sass! I'll use that at some point.
David, I feel very fortunate to have the opportunity that these drop in sessions are available. Every Monday, all year long. The shoulder is getting there.
Thanks for coming by.
Hi Chieftess, good to hear from you.
I like the top two as well. Still working on the shoulder.
I love those sketches. They make for sure a nice collage in a frame.
Hi Susanne,
Thanks for stopping by and nice comments.
I''m afraid I''ve been delinquent in visiiting your blog.
I'll try and do better.
