This one is evil, too showy and has muddy feet. I'm paying
the consequences for thinking to much and or not enough or both.
Diva's should be lady like and soft spoken. This one is screaming
at the top of her lungs and is far from dainty. More later.
As an after thought ... I seldom if ever use opaque white, see
why? Time for the garden hose.

I see what you mean about opaque white.But....
what if you added water to that area and tried lifting away the white and color? Is it gouache? I know it's been awhile since I "colored with water" but you never know.
I do think evil is a pretty strong word for this pretty little diva. Not all divas are softspoken and dainty, ya kno (I know I'm not!)
I like how you draw our eye to the fire with the desert sage, brush, vegetation....no garden hose yet please :)
Well there are good evil divas and bad ones.
Hey, I wouldn't touch that line (ya know I'm not!) with a ten foot brush!
Yeah I know the opaque white is repairable with a little water. I had lifted a lot of the color out using water but I just wasn't satisfied and had to take it a step further.
I'll avoid the garden hose but may break out the spray bottle.
You sound good, keep it up.

WHAT??!!! DID YOU SAY SOFT-SPOKEN?!!! DAINTY? Any Wagnerian screaming soprano diva worth her breastplate would set you straight, brother! There's too dang many females out here in blogland for you to mean to say that.
So fall on your knees and pray for a clear mind. It'll tell you to say: A) I will NOT hose this, and B) there are NO evil divas!
Hey PB. the one thing I do know about divas, they insist. They insist and it feels good, so we can never resist their charms.
I wouldn't give up on this one quite yet. I suggest visiting some Turner watercolors of fires, especially the burning of the house of parliament.
cheerio,b
Sam. Umm. My apologies to any followers on the blog that felt my diva comments were actually directed at them. Of course you all know my references are about focal points, points of interest in a painting or drawing. So, I'm not on my knees ...
I will not use the garden hose. As for dives (focal points) there are diva's of less than useful focus. (Paintings, paintings.) Until later.
"Scuse me. You're right; some divas scream. They (I) shouldn't.
Ah sam, not to worry. I had part of that coming.
I should haVe considered a male example like cowboy or tenor. My mind just went blank.
How bout no more reference to dives. I'll stick to focal points. So let's get back to speaking with images. Later dogs.
Hi PB, I LOVE it that you are speaking out...we don't have to agree- half the fun is gone then. Keep painting and speaking out...we all love ya!-b
