Nice work, Doug--I particularly like the last one.

Hey, Doug! I LOVE the marks and forms. Hewn from mighty rock. Don't you love working with medium that allows you the ability to sculpt sophisticated form with scribble? (I do!) Hope you're well.

Thanks David, I was happy I found this year round drop in session that meets once a week. Wish I was still as free of thoughts when I was 19.

Thanks Chris.

Thanks Suzanne, I really enjoy the aspects of marks and form. The spontaneous and unfinished feel is very exciting for me. I'm not sure what it would be like to work on a very long pose.

I'm fine, just haven't spent much time in the studio.
Did lots of plantings and yard maintenance this summer and fall. It was kind of nice to be outside doing somewhat mindless tasks.

Hey, I went to your blog and found the intro video of you explaining what your class would be like. Nice job. It was nice to hear your voice and watch your expressions. I feel like I know you a bit better now.

Enjoyed hearing from you. I need to do a bit more blogging which would mean I need to work on some paintings.

Take care my friend,

Hi, Deb.

Currently in Las Vegas with friends.
No art here, just colorful and weird people.

Doug, absolutely wonderful that you have found a regular place for life drawing! These drawings are splendid - it's been on my mind say just that for these last few weeks and I am thrilled that you have posted them!
I would love to see more of your wonderful painting too!

Your line work is very dynamic and dramatic. It has a nice feeling of gesture and movement. Bold and exciting pictures.
