Tints over tints, wet into wet colors,
blotting, blending, wash aways. Lots of texture
and accidental effects. Sometimes lost and
sometimes found. I've had many conversations with
this painting and finally understand what it
was trying to say.
11" x 15.5"
Transparent watercolor
Arches 140# watercolor paper

Beautiful Doug! Abstract and representational at the same time.
Nice one, Doug! Delicious colors; looks like you had fun doing this.
Also--I'm happy to know Mary gave you a bit of a break from Christmas decorating so you could spend some time in the studio. :)
This is beautiful
and exciting!

Thanks David, it had it's ups and downs but turned out fairly well.
Thanks Chrissie, it was nice to get to the studio and paint. Mary is very kind and wants me in the studio anytime.
Thank you Deb, after much spraying and blotting I think it turned out OK.
Thanks Liz
Thanks Sam, there were plenty of loud discussions plus I put it on probation and sat it in a chair.
We finally agreed with each other and I think I'm happy with it.
