It's a Start!

Not quite as tentative, a little brighter, a few more colors
and water acting together.  This was to be very traditional,
something I penciled down shortly after we got to Sedona.
I decided to leave traditional behind and see what happened.
I'm still pondering that but I think it's better.  We'll see what
tomorrow brings.

This is New Mexico as we sped along I-40 trying to stay ahead

of the snow.  We made it!

You are cooking! Wow, the colors, the richness and depth! The kind of paintings I love to explore!

Doug these paintings are really lovely, the bold yet delicate washes are very fluid and expressive.

If this is today then I can't wait until tomorrow. These watercolours are very exciting and taster for more pleasures to come. Enjoy your trip through New Mexico and don't forget the sun block.

Hi everyone,

I spent some time writing notes back to each of you and then blogger jumped up and ate them all. Needless to say, well I can't say that here but I was upset.

To avoid writing back to each of you I'm sending a group "big thank you" so I can get to my next painting.
Bah google, bah blogger.

Regards Doug

Suzanne, sometimes I don't recognize the value of attempts like this. Rather than explore further I take a different fork on the path ... lost focus.
