5 x 7 Conte Sketch

Trying a less literal route to this future painting of
the view from Cadillac Mountain in Acadia. I've been

This is good Doug. I'll have to try it. We just booked a family trip to England and I don't think I'll hall my paints, this would be a good alternative.

Thanks Buddette, I'll keep searching.

David this really is easy to take along.

I love using Conte crayon, the square edged variety rather than the round pastels. One can be so expressive using them and they work particularly well on Canson and Ingres paper. They are hard but not so hard that they become scratchy. Great range of colours and ideal for the mobile artist. I hope to see more of your pastels Doug. This one is great. Best wishes Roger
