Up in the Beech

Plein Air, 5 x 7 watercolor on cold press.

Failing realism last week I went with the 1" flat.
No one said plein air was about realism. As a painting
it was short and sweet.

We were cruising my blog roll after dinner and I came to yours. As soon as I clicked on it Paul said "ooooh I like that one." (and he usually tends to be quite literal)Is it plein air?

Hi Loriann, Give Paul a big thank you. I'm honored he liked it. Yes, it was started and completed on sight.
It was done after a frustrating attempt at a more realistic version. Nearly dark when I finished so I was surprised when I got back home. Don't know if you would call it plein air but it was done in cold air.
Let me know what you think.

Your painting buddy,
